At K9 Solutions dog training academy we have many years' experience in training dogs to a high level of obedience.

The methods that we use are based on marker training which involves rewarding the dog for the correct behaviour and positive feedback.

I do not train by walking the dog around and around on the end of a lead and constantly feeding treats. If you find this type of training unrewarding then marker training may be for you. I like to interact with the dog breaking the training up so that it does not become predictable.

We can teach you the theory of marker training and how you can use it to train your dog. We will set out practical step by step lessons and assist in any challenges you may have.

Marker training can be used to teach your dog anything and does not use food as the only stimulus, above all it is a rewarding and fun way to train your dog.

The training sessions last for about forty five minutes, we visit you in your own home and assess what you require, we will spend time with you and your dog and find out what works for her or him as all dogs have different levels of drive. Alternatively, come and watch me train my own dogs, see what I do and make sure it's for you.
